Chidozie Ezechukwu
Country Representative, Nigeria (MSH)
Ezechukwu previously was Executive Secretary of Nigeria’s Country Coordinating Mechanism (CCM) for the Global Fund, where he oversaw the mobilization and oversight of grants worth over $2 billion for HIV, TB, malaria, and COVID-19, as well as for supporting resilient and sustainable health systems. Prior to that, he occupied the dual role of Special Assistant to the Director General of the National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA) and Coordinator of NACA’s Global Fund grants worth over $159 million for HIV and for Resilient and Sustainable Systems for Health. With NACA, he led country-scale community-based programs and provided technical assistance to national and sub-national entities on strategic planning, monitoring, and evaluation.
Ezechukwu holds a master’s degree in public health from the University of Liverpool, a master’s degree in health economics, policy, and management from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a certificate in leadership development from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

Country Director, ActionAid Nigeria
Until his appointment as AAN Country Director in September 2023, he was the Director, Resource Mobilization and Innovation, and had previously worked in progressively higher capacities within ActionAid Nigeria, towards the realization of the organizations vision of eradicating poverty and promoting social justice.
He is a highly proficient manager of people and resources who has effectively carried out development activities and initiatives that centered on sustainable livelihoods, women's empowerment, governance, food and agriculture and education. He has also provided technical support to several ActionAid countries on education and fundraising.
Andrew is well-versed in the global political economy and aware of the socio-political environment in Nigeria and globally. Andrew has also worked with several development partners both at the bilateral and multilateral level.
Overseeing 16 pivotal projects across Nigeria, Tanzania, and Cameroon, he has orchestrated advocacy, research, network building, and policy innovations. He has also written over 15 papers/articles, contributing to the body of knowledge, and supporting actions in ending poverty.
Before joining ActionAid Nigeria, Andrew worked with a development agency - German Development Agency (GIZ), specifically focused on developing a regional Masterplan for the oil-rich Niger Delta Region of Nigeria and in the private sector.
He is a graduate of Economics and Statistics and holds a Master’s degree in Political Science. He is currently undergoing a Ph. D in Political Science (Political Economy). He has undergone several trainings from various institutes in and outside Nigeria. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Economics and also of Strategic Management
Mayowa Joel

He possesses expertise in Advocacy; Social Science Research; Community Systems Strengthening; Program Design and Management; Strategy Development; Grant Management; Training and Capacity Building; Strategic Communication; Community and Media Mobilization; Monitoring and Evaluation etc.
He serves as resource person to national and international organizations and works in partnership with different stakeholders including civil society organizations; development partners; parliamentarians; government ministries, departments and agencies etc.
He plays very key roles in many civil society committees and networks at the national, regional and global levels; and contributes to wide range of articles and publications on health and development.
Ayo Ipinmoye
National Coordinator, ACOMIN
He had previously served as the Vice Chair and Coordinator of the Civil Society Platform for Health in Nigeria. He possesses two Master’s Degrees in Social Work (2012) and Environmental Health Management (2014). He has been an active participant at the highest levels in the civil society sector and has helped many significant projects that had impacted Nigerian Communities.
Ayo has served on many national and international Technical Working Groups and Committees and is at present time a Member of the Steering Committee of Civil Society for Malaria Elimination (CS4ME), which is the global Civil Society Network coordinating NGOs and CBOs engaged in Malaria Elimination efforts.
He is versed in community, national as well as international interventions.
Olayide Akanni

Over the past twenty years, Olayide has served in various capacities with several other advocacy-based coalitions in promoting Health financing, HIV/AIDS and TB treatment literacy, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), capacity building for media and a diverse range of civil society groups in research, community engagement, policy monitoring to support universal access to prevention, treatment and care services.
Prior to her work in the non-profit sector, Olayide worked as a Health Correspondent for Punch Newspapers, a leading National Newspaper in Nigeria. Olayide holds a Bachelor's and Master’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria and an MBA from the Lagos Business School of the Pan Atlantic University (formerly Pan African University).
Judith Gbagidi

Judith’s experience spans the public sector, non-profits, and private advisory, ensuring that governance frameworks are both inclusive and effective. Her governance expertise extends to managing projects aimed at enhancing transparency, inclusivity, and institutional capacity.
Currently serving as the Governance Specialist at ActionAid Nigeria, Judith leads and oversees the design and execution of high-quality governance programs, ensuring adherence to national and international standards. She has spearheaded governance campaigns focused on judicial accountability, anti-corruption, and gender equity, including notable initiatives like the CLEAP-Justice Project and campaigns addressing the disproportionate effects of austerity measures on Nigerian citizens.
Judith’s work is instrumental in strengthening democratic governance and promoting inclusive policy-making, making her a key figure in Nigeria’s governance reform efforts.

Funmi Adesanya
PEPFAR Nigeria Coordinator
Ms. Adesanya joined the Nigeria program in 2019 after serving as the PEPFAR Coordinator with Mission Lilongwe. In Malawi, Ms. Adesanya successfully supported the PEPFAR and National HIV program to reach 95-95-95 across all age groups and served as the Secretariat for the HIV and AIDS Donor Group (HADG). She also established and served as the Chair of Mission Lilongwe’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility (DEIA) Council which established an enabling environment where diversity could be celebrated. Prior to joining the Malawi team, she served four years as the Deputy PEPFAR Coordinator with the U.S. Mission in Zimbabwe and seven years at the Department of State's Office of the Global AIDS Coordinator (OGAC) with the Country Oversight and Accountability team managing a portfolio of nine countries in West and Southern Africa. Ms. Adesanya has promoted public health programs in prisons, homeless shelters and served as a Global Service Corps volunteer in Arusha, Tanzania where she facilitated HIV prevention youth camps.
Ms. Adesanya earned a B.A. in International Studies with a minor in Political Science and a M.A. in International Studies with a concentration in Conflict and Cooperation from Old Dominion University in Virginia.
Niri Goyit

As a Program Manager for the CWEENS United Nations WPS Project, DFID VAWG Project, and DFID Safe Harbour Initiative, Niri successfully led programs aimed at preventing violence against women. She worked closely with stakeholders to ensure effective program implementation and long-term impact.
Niri’s international experience includes working as a Case Manager at Barclay Bank FOS in Edgebaston, UK, and an Administrative Officer at Her Majesty Revenue and Customs. She also managed events at Manchester United Stadium, demonstrating her adaptability and organizational skills.
In Nigeria, Niri has been an Administrator at the Center for Addiction Treatment and Research and an Accounts Officer at APIN. Her roles in Complaint Management at Barclays Bank and Inventory Management at UAC highlight her operational expertise across various sectors.
Mrs. Adebola Adams
TB People Nigeria
She survived a 7-year DS-TB turned DR-TB battle in 2011, and upon recovery, has been actively and intentionally involved in the TB space locally, regionally and internationally, through participation in activities put together by The Federal Ministry of Health, Nigeria, Damien Foundation Belgium, World Health Organisation, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine , Medical Research Centre, The Gambia, Treatment Action Group, U.S.A , DHDC Nigeria to mention a few . Adebola is a Board member of STOP TB Partnership, Nigeria, and a Co- National coordinator for TB People Nigeria. She received a prestigious award for the Most outstanding TB Survivor in 2021, at the National TB Conference organized by STOP TB Partnership, Nigeria in collaboration with other Partners.
Beneath these professional caps lie the love for children education. Mrs. Adams is a Counsellor with the Girls Auxiliary in her Church (a group that caters for the spiritual development of girls aged 10-16). She is married to Dr. Adeola Timothy Adams and blessed with children.
